Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars... and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. I believe Thoreau is right because we forget that the earth is a living thing and we take advantage of its resources...one day it's not going to be living.
Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.
To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life. ~John Burroughs
I really enjoyed the nature quote that Carly Legg posted. I really liked Mallory's comment “In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.” - Alice Walker
Looking at things in nature and seeing the imperfections and how "unusual" we consider it really makes it beautiful to me and it is a fascinating thing. The imperfections seem to tell a story about everything in nature and this is what I love about science.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~Lao Tzu
This quote is correct. Nature takes thousands, even millions of years to perform some of its processes, yet in the end, they are accomplished. We as humans are slaves to nature, and nature will accomplish its will, even if that means the destruction of mankind.
I like your quote about nature not hurrying because it is so common that we get busy and don't take the chance to look around us. It is important to slow down and experience things as well as get things done.
