Cheers,

    We often don't see the beauty in the simple things around us and take it all for granted way too often. I think what Helen Keller is trying to say is that we don't need expensive, materialistic items to comfort us because everything we could possibly need can be found in nature.

    Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars...
    and if you have eyes you will be able to see
    that the whole existence is joyful.
    Everything is simply happy.
    Trees are happy for no reason;
    they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents
    and they are not going to become rich
    and they will never have any bank balance.
    Look at the flowers- for no reason.
    It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.

    I really enjoyed the nature quote that Carly Legg posted. I think that I enjoyed it so much because it made me reflect on the beauty of nature and it reminded me of how often we don't acknowledge its beauty because we are so absorbed in what benefits we can receive from it. I thought everyone's posts were great but Carly's quote by Osho was one that I feel stood out the most to me.
